When I think about my life in the last few months, it doesn’t seem possible that so many good things have happened to help me find my new home. I can only remember being very sick and alone and very, very hungry. Besides that I have a problem with seeing things because I was born with eyes that only see shadows. That made it extra hard getting around and I was so worried. Then some kind people found me and took me to their home and helped me get well and strong. I thought I might stay there but it was very hard to find my way around inside the house so they asked Adopt a Golden Knoxville to help me find a new home. I went to a foster but there was too much activity for me and sometimes the little kids would come up behind me and surprise me. That made me nervous and even though they all loved me, AGK thought maybe, just maybe, AGA would have better choices for me. So I traveled all the way to Atlanta and stayed for a little while with two foster moms. Before I knew it– there was my new real mom! She had been looking for me because her other golden got very old and had to leave her. She needed me and I sure needed her! So many nice people helped me get to where I am and I know they all loved me and wanted the best home ever for me. We want everyone to know I am safe and happy. I have a nice, safe yard, lots of toys and even two cats! My favorite part, though, is I have a lap that is all mine to climb into so my mom can give me hugs. You don’t need to see real good to find a mom’s lap. Thank you to all my “families” for helping me go home. Your friend, Lucky -now Lucky Sam.
