Lucky, a wonderful 5 year old male purebred golden, was brought to us by a good samaritan who rescued Lucky from a life lived outdoord with little attention. She got him cleaned up and housetrained him but couldn’t afford to keep him. You see Lucky had heartworms and needed costly medical treatment.She called us for help. Looking at this goofy guy, it was easy to say yes. Lucky was treated for his heartworms and had to go to a foster who could keep him quiet for 2 months. We found a kind gentleman who had a teenage daughter who wanted to become a vet. We knew they would care for Lucky. Well, it was only a few weeks into fostering and about the time someone was inquiring about Lucky that his foster family said, “we love him and must adopt him.” Today, Lucky is still recovering and can’t wait to get a clean bill of health so he can jump in that big swimming pool in his new backyard. Talk about luck, Lucky!
