Luke was found as a stray up in North Georgia – they seem to roam the countryside up there! Luke is estimated to be about 2 years of age. He is a pretty calm guy… likes to chill. Unfortunately, when we brought Luke in he had heartworms but thanks to former AGA rescues, Mac and Banjo Beless, Luke got the care he needed. Once he was nursed back to health Luke was ready to find his forever home and we thought he had but Luke wasn’t too fond of the family’s cat and he bullied their other golden. We took Luke back and took him to training bootcamp where we discovered Luke was acting like a bratty teenager. Well, once in training, Luke is now reformed! Luke can now heel, sit, down, sit stay, down stay, place and come. He is happy in his crate. He is just a sweet, gentle boy. And this sweet boy has just found his forever home. Luke’s new family is complete with mom, dad and two canine sisters. Mom is a homemaker and dad is retired so it looks like Luke will get plenty of headrubs and plenty of treats. Dixie and Sarah, his new sisters, are happy to have a new man in the house – especially one as cute, sweet and well-behaved as Luke. This boy will never know the word “stray” again. He is living the golden dream life!
