My name is Luna, and I’m a 4-year-old golden girl weighing about 56 pounds. I’m a sweet girl with a gentle heart who is still learning to feel safe again.

I came to AGA after my family experienced a loss. I was surrendered to the shelter alongside Goldie, Ellie Pup, and some other pups who I am believed to be the mama of. Thankfully, AGA was there waiting to rescue us and give us our second chance. I’m hoping my next chapter can finally be about me.

I’m a sweet, calm girl and a total velcro dog. I want to be wherever my people are and love getting attention. I can be shy when meeting someone new, but I warm up quickly, especially when there are treats involved! I’m house-trained and alert when I need to go outside. I am great in the car and already learning some commands.

I walk nicely overall, although I can pull a little, and I seem to be good with other dogs. I may gently put my paws on your legs or rest my head on you to remind you I’m there when I need some extra attention.

I would do best with someone at home most of the day, a fenced yard, and a home with minimal steps. I’m looking for a patient family who will give me the time to fully come out of my shell.

Unfortunately, I tested heartworm positive, so I have some medical treatment ahead of me. GA is committed to getting me healthy, and I owe a huge thank you to my sponsors listed at the end of my bio for helping me raise the $1,000 for my treatment!

Because of my heartworm treatment, my forever family will need to live within 45 minutes of one of AGA’s vets in Alpharetta or Buckhead and have minimal steps. Once I’m medically clear, I will officially be your girl forever.

After spending so much of my life caring for others, I’m ready for someone to care for me. I’m hoping my forever family will be patient enough to let me blossom into the happy girl I’m meant to be. Lots of Love, Luna
