This is Madeline or Maddie for short. She is a 5-6 year old female Great Pyreness that we rescued from a shelter 2 years ago. Back then she was barely recognizable because she had mange and little hair. She got well and beautiful and was adopted by a young family who lived on a busy street. They kept Maddy for two years but knew she wasn’t happy with them so she came back to us. Great Pyrenees are protectors and shouldn’t live in congested urban areas where there are lots of people and traffic. Maddie barked when she was outside. Inside, Maddie was a couch potato and very well behaved. So, now it is our pleasure (and Maddie’s) to announce that Maddie’s foster parents flunked out of Fosterville. Her new parents worked diligently to get all of her minor medical conditions under control and through her time they found Maddie to be the most loving GP they had ever met. She loves to be petted and by your side. Almost seemed she had lived with Goldens all her life because she is truly a Velcro dog which is not a trait of GP’s. She gets along with her new siblings, both 2-legged and 4-legged and greets dad at the door to hug him hello. She even fetches tennis balls and dances for you when she’s happy. She is a perfect fit!
