Maggie’s story started out so sad and ended so happy. We got an emergency assistance call from a shelter to save this 2 year old purebred Golden Retriever. Her owners had just turned her in due to her skin condition – (which turned out to be a mild form of mange –not even the contagious kind.) What happened to Maggie is simply terrible. Her owner (possibly Cruela de Vil) drove up to the shelter with Maggie tied in the back of her truck. She pulled quickly into a space and stopped suddenly which flipped Maggie out – so Maggie hung by her neck! This once beautiful family pet was just discarded like a piece of trash. Our vet treated her and she started getting better immediately. Her hair will be beautiful again in no time. Maggie has a new mom and a springer spaniel brother and a golden sister who also was rescued. Maggie and her sister talk alot about how lucky they are. Maggie has a big backyard with a beautiful garden and best of all, her mom loves her unconditionally.
