They tell me I was a beautiful Golden Retriever mix and was a 2 years old girl. I used to live with a family and all of a sudden they took me to the animal shelter. I don’t know why that happened – it was such a surprise and definitely NOT a good one. But then some people knew I was too good to throw away and they called AGA and someone came to get me and signed me up as a new orphan. New orphans always have to be checked over at the dog doctor’s and I didn’t have such good news. I didn’t get the medicine dogs are supposed to get and so I had heartworms. I needed a sponsor to donate $500 to help pay for the medicine it takes to get rid of these things. My guardian angel, Carol Adams, came to my rescue. I hope I can meet her someday I had to stay calm at my foster for a while which was really hard because I had lots of energy and interest in being busy and playing and taking walks. As soon as I was better a wonderful couple and their dog Gus came and met me. They loved me and now I’m a member of this great family. My name is now Lucy and I’m so glad I got a second chance. Thanks AGA!
