Max, a one year old male golden, is the type of guy that just wants to please you. He belonged to a family who fell on hard times and lost their home. We think Max may have had his tail hurt when he was a pup because he hates having it touched. But we have found Max a home where we know he will never be harmed again. This past weekend a wonderful couple with a horse farm in Florida rented a van and drove to Atlanta to pick up Boomer and Bambi. They were all set to adopt the pair and decided, last minute, they’d also like to meet Max. The three dogs had a play date at Petsmart, and got alone so well, mom and dad were forced to reevaluate things. Eventually, mom came back in tears and said they would have to take Max too. Within a few hours the happy family was back on the road and Max couldn’t have been happier. The couple had recently lost their younger golden to a heart attack and dad was completely heartbroken. Max fills a very special place in the family. He is now dad’s constant companion working on the ranch everyday. But it’s not just all work and no play for Max. Max now has a poodle, a border collie, and of course Boomer and Bambi, to run around and wrestle with. Life on the horse farm is the best, and that bum tail- you can bet it’s in full swing these days!
