Maximus – or Max for short – is a 4 year old purebred male golden who had just fallen on hard luck. His first owner grew too frail to keep him and she returned him to the original breeder who was no longer in a position to keep him. A young family who had heard Max was on his way to the pound took him into their home but with 3 very young children and an older dog who didn’t like Max, the writing was on the wall. Max needed a new home – one where he could feel safe and loved and, in time, could feel like he belonged there forever. Well, along came the perfect family. They were looking for a dog just like Max and they had everything Max wanted – a stay at home Mom, a Dad he could lay on the couch with and watch football, a cousin golden to play with but no other dog to have to share his house with, a big golf course to walk around everyday and his very own swimming pool! Max can’t wait til that pool cover comes off. In the meantime, he is learning how to enjoy being king dog and he’s loving every minute. Way to go Max!
