Our Meadow girl is about 8 years old. We aren’t sure because she was picked up as a stray. She was dirty, flea-infested with rotten, filthy ears. We fixed that quickly but she had heartworms too. She had to go to a foster home who could nurse her back to health. One day, we received a letter from Meadow asking us if she could just stay with her foster family. She was quite comfortable and really didn’t want to pack up all her new belongings and move. She liked the other dogs and she had finally trained her foster mom exactly how she wanted her. In fact, Meadow had learned how to get special treats and how to wake up her foster mom by just breathing on her! Meadow said she was still training her Mom but Mom was making so much progress that she was hopeful that she would have her wrapped around her paw completely in no time. She was very encouraged over the new gifts she had received. So, we figured Meadow knew best. Last we heard, Meadow was relaxing in her pool waiting for Mom to bring ice cream to her. (Meadow was planning to send it back if she didn’t get sprinkles.) Nice going Meadow!
