Meet Merlot, a wonderful, sweet 7 year old female golden who has spent her entire life having puppies. Yes, she too, was a breeder dog. Unfortunately, Merlot has not had much socialization and was learning everything for the first time at her foster home. She learned to eat food out of a bowl, although she prefers that no one watch her, she’s really making progress. She checked out the toy box for the first time the other day and has even taken some toys out. She still hasn’t learned to play but now that she has her very own forever family we know it’s just a matter of time until she’s chasing tennis balls around the yard. Merlot’s forever home is just great. She now has a golden sister, Sugar, who was also an AGA rescue, and a loving mom and dad. Mom and dad have older children who live out of town so Merlot will be the baby of the family and get tons of love and attention. Sugar is such a sweet girl and can’t wait to run and wrestle around with Merlot but she understands her new sis has had a hard life so she’s being extra gentle and patient. With such a wonderful family and so much support Merlot’s tail is sure to be wagging full swing in no time at all!
