Mona, a wonderful 10 year old purebred female golden, was brought to us by her owner who had lost his house and had to move to another county where he couldn’t keep the number of dogs he had. He was three over the limit and Mona was one of three he gave up. After meeting her, we couldn’t understand why she was chosen but now we know it was for the best. Mona has a wonderful new mom and dad and will get to spend her senior years in a brand new lake house. She has a 14 year old sister lab and mom is retired so the girls get to spend all day together. They occasionally come into the city where dad works. Mona loves the long car ride but likes it best when Dad comes to the lake. Mona’s new Mom and Dad have always had a soft spot in their heart for our senior goldens. They have fostered a number of them in the past but once they met Mona at adoption day they knew that had to have her forever.
