Monty, a lovable 4 year old male golden weighing in at 100+ pounds was a gentle giant. His former owners just didn’t have time for him — particularly because Monty is what we call a ‘needy’ golden (aren’t they all?) He wants to be with you all the time. He wants to be petted all the time. He nudges and paws at you for his attention time. The former owners got annoyed with Monty. Well, not his new owners. Monty is exactly what they were looking for. They had recently lost their big giant dog and they didn’t think they’d find one like that. Then Monty arrived! It was instant love at first sight. Tears popped up. Today, Monty, now GRIFFIN, has a stay at home mom and 2 little boys to raise and Dad loves being pawed to death. Monty is definitely in his forever home.
This is Monty’s second adoption. His first story went like this: Meet Monty – a 4 year old 100 pound male purebred blockhead golden who is a big cuddle-bear. Monty’s mom works long hours and wanted him to have a better life with lots of attention. We knew one of our foster families was looking for a golden just like Monty — well, we knew but they really didn’t want to admit it – especially Dad. Well our plan worked. A few days with this boy was all it took. Monty has a new mom and dad and mom stays home to take care of little Cooper. So Monty is a happy, happy camper. And, Monty has a doggy sister Maggie to play and play and play with in their big fenced yard. We think that’s a pretty good life Monty and we know you have the best parents any golden could wish for.
