Meet Moon Pie! When we went to the shelter to rescue this guy, we had seen his photo and were told he was a senior golden who had been found in a subdivision apparently dumped and abandoned. When we met him, we were a little confused. He looked terrible but he had very white teeth and he gladly jumped right into the car for his ride to the vet. He sure didn’t seem to be a senior so we thought maybe he is about 7. We were shocked to learn he is more like 2 or 3 years old!! He had been neutered and he looked like he had been an outside dog based on his callouses. His coat was terrible and his ears were bad. The vet says that allergies is the cause and we need to find the cause. He has an ear hematoma that needs fixed. We are confident we will be able to get his allergies under control and make him into the handsome boy he was meant to be. As far as his personality goes, you can’t beat it. Moon Pie is a love bug. He is calm yet playful. He loves to play tug-o-war with his stuffed Moose our volunteer gave him. He loves rides in cars and loves being petted. He is in fostercare now and is healing. He lives to play! Moon Pie has a nice block head with the cutest tuft of hair on the top of his head. Moon Pie’s case will be a wonderful “before and after” photo opportunity. We can’t wait and you can’t wait to try to make Moon Pie your very own. Thanks to Buster Cossett who knows all about allergies for sponsoring Moon Pie to help defray his medical expenses. Buster knew that he had to help Moonpie, but has just realized this fuzzy boy is really special. So special that he has decided that Moonpie must go home with him. And with an allergy specialist in the house we know that this boy will soon be as beautiful on the outside as he is on the inside. Looks like these two were destined to meet. We can’t wait to see those new photos!
