Moose, a 5 year old male purebred golden had been a breeder dog all of his life. He had never had toys or chewies or been in a home. He would entertain himself by finding a rock and tossing it in the air and retrieving it. He needed a family and a ball. He got that and more. A very special family had given their beloved golden to grandpa when he retired and when last seen was riding in a golf cart towards the 14th hole somewhere on St. Simons. So back in Atlanta, this special family wanted to give a golden a second chance for a great life. Well, if we didn’t believe in love at first before, we do now. When Moose saw his new Mom, sparks flew. He and she connected instantly. Within 20 minutes, he was climbing into the back of her convertible and driving off to meet Dad and Sis. Moose now has a big house and a huge yard where he has met all the squirels. He goes running everyday and hiking on the weekends. His bed is in the master bedroom and he doesn’t let Mom out of sight. He has enough tennis balls to last a lifetime and will never need to toss a rock again. This second chance was worth waiting for, wasn’t it Moose!
