Mowgli

I got lost, and after wandering for a while, I knocked on a stranger’s door because I was tired and hungry. They were kind and let me stay, but I had to live outside because one of the kids was allergic. Even though they couldn’t keep me, they wanted to help, so they asked AGA to find me a new home. I’m Mowgli, a 1-year-old Golden Retriever/Great Pyrenees mix, and I’m a strong, sweet boy who loves people—big and small! I also love playing with other nice dogs, but I need a strong leader who can guide me. I’m young and full of energy, so I need both mental and physical exercise to keep me happy.

A fenced-in yard is a must for me—bonus points if you have a dog door so I can come and go as I please! I’d love an active family that enjoys spending time outdoors and taking me along for the adventure. I do well with another playful dog, but my new family will need to supervise playtime since I sometimes don’t realize when my playmate is done—what can I say? I just LOVE to play! I’d also be perfectly happy as an only dog as long as I get lots of attention. I do have some separation anxiety, so I need a family that works from home, stays at home, or can hire a dog walker if they’ll be gone for more than four hours. I’ve also recently started basic obedience training and am loving it, so I’d love an owner who will continue working with me to help me be the best boy I can be!
