Mr. Goldie is a purebred male (yes, MALE) golden retriever. Goldie was found a few months ago roaming a country road by a very nice woman who took him to the vet and found that he had a microchip. Unfortunately, the number was no longer valid and even though the owner’s daughter was tracked down, they did not want him back because it had been several years and they had new dogs now. We don’t know who had been taking care of him during those lost years but somebody must have been. However, Goldie did have heartworms and his wonderful rescuer stepped forward and paid for his treatment. Goldie is forever grateful to her – as is his new family. Yes, that’s right Goldie has a new family! He has a great new dad and a mom who stays at home. He also has a college aged brother and a sister who’s in high school. And if that wasn’t enough people to spoil him he has Grandma Bettie! He plans to woo her until he can’t woo anymore! Although Grandmas are always easy to win over – even for grandpups. He’ll share his home and affections with Roxie, a little dog, and a sweet little kitty cat (well, that still remains to be seen). In any event, this big 97 pound lug is finally home!
