Meet Munster, a very handsome senior gentleman. His age was estimated to be around 10. Munster was picked up as a stray and no one could understand how his family was not looking for him. He has personality plus. While at the shelter when they would go into his run to give him a new blanket and fresh water, he would stroll out and go directly to a box of toys he found and each day would go get a new toy and bring it back to his run. Unfortunately, Munster was severely heartworm positive, needed neutering and had weak hips. The wonderful people at Dekalb Tire stepped up to sponsor him! And then a miracle happened – he found his forever home. Munster got great new parents. They had always owned goldens and knew how to spoil them rotten. Mom works from home so she had lots of time with Munster. In addition to Munster’s great new home here in Georgia, he now had his very own beach house. He had big plans to spend many days at the beach. It only took hours for Munster to have mom and dad wrapped around his paw. It looked like there were to be no more lonely days for this sweet boy. Munster even got a new name: Maxwell and he had 18 wonderful days with his new parents. On the 19th day, Maxwell went into cardiac arrest as a result of the complications of his heartworm disease. We are sad to say that he crossed the Rainbow Bridge. We know that his soul is still smiling about the wonderful times he had with his new family. He touched so many lives in his short time with us and we are so very thankful we had the opportunity to show him what human love and kindness is all about. He was only in his new home for 19 days but for his mom and dad, those 19 days will last a lifetime.
