Nellie – Adoption Pending (HW+ Sponsored)!

My name is Nellie, and I’m a 3-year-old golden girl who weighs about 53 pounds. I have a sweet heart, a gentle spirit, and a fresh start ahead of me.

A kind stranger found me wandering alone and took me to a vet to see if I had a family. I did have a microchip, but despite every effort to reach my owner, no one ever came for me. After waiting through my stray hold and getting all my vet care, I was welcomed into AGA. Now I’m ready to find the forever family who will never let me wonder where I belong again.

I’m house-trained, love people, and have never met a stranger. I get along wonderfully with cats, kids, and dogs. Everyone who meets me describes me as a very sweet girl who simply wants to love and be loved.

I am a very mellow girl who loves to nap in a dog bed, loves people, and just wants to be right by your side. I do not like to be alone for long, and I am not a fan of the crate, so I would do best in a home where someone is home more than not. I could be happy as the only dog, or with a calmer dog sibling.

Sadly, I am also heartworm positive, which means I’ll need to complete treatment before I can fully enjoy all of life’s adventures. I am grateful to the sponsors (listed below) who donated to help me get the care I need. I am so grateful for them!

What I’m looking for now is a family who will take me through my HW+ treatment. I need my family to live a max of 1-hour from the vet located in the Buckhead area.
