Nutmeg is a 5 year old purebred female golden who we rescued from a Missouri puppy mill breeder. She came with Cadbury. Nutmeg has been a breeder dog all her life having 2 and sometimes 3 litters each year. She is so very sweet. She was suffering from having inverted eye lashes – meaning they were growing in towards her eye – making her eyes water. When she had her spay operation, we fixed her eyes. So now all she needs is a family – her first home. She got her first bed at the vet and just loves it. If you have patience and love, you will see how Nutmeg will blossom right in front of you. She will be a wonderful companion. She is most comfortable around other dogs but she loves humans to pet her and talk to her. It is her time now and she deserves the very best. Nutmeg finally found her first home and she picked a great family. She has a 21 year old human big brother and a 15 year old little big canine brother named Dakota. Dakota is going to be busy teaching Nutmeg how to be a family dog but we know that before long she will fit right in. So no more puppy mills for Nutmeg – it’s nothing but cushy beds, treats and sweet dreams this pretty girl!
