I have been so busy I’ve hardly had time to catch my breath. I’ve looked over my new basket of toys, tried out my new bed, explored my deck and back yard, found my dishes, and posed for pictures. Then I had to walk for some exercise and meet some neighbors and check out see if the couch was nice and comfortable (it is!), and get acquainted with my new mom and dad. OH MY GOODESS!!! I got way ahead of myself because I should have started out by saying I’ve been adopted! My folks had another AGA dog for a while- he told them good-bye before I came to AGA and they missed him. But I know he told them to find me and bring me to his home and then they’d be happy again. He was a senior boy too like me (I’m 10). I gotta tell you though, nothing puts a spring in your step like finding a new home. It’s a long way from standing in the middle of the road in a rainstorm not knowing which way to turn. The family that helped me were like guardian angels looking after me. Now I have to go and explore my home some more. I need to look out the windows and see if there are any other dogs around. Maybe mom needs some help in the kitchen or maybe dad will read a book to me. Then I think I’ll take a nap. Guess I’ll have to go get a toy to hold while I’m napping. Thank you all my friends- I’m home! Oatmeal (now Oats)
