Meet Oscar – a 5 year old purebred male golden retriever. Oscar was found wandering the streets of an Alabama city, picked up by animal control and placed in the shelter. No one came looking for him and he was facing certain death in this crowded shelter but thanks to our wonderful volunteers in Alabama he is out of the slammer. And now thanks to Donna Bradner for sponsoring him through his heartworm treatment he is enjoying the spoils of family life. He has a great new mom and dad who are both retired and have spent over 35 years adopting and loving rescue dogs. He also has a human sister and a human brother who are both away at college but visit often (and now they’ll probably visit even more). He will also have a fast companion in his canine brother Ace, who is also a graduate of AGA, and in mom and dad’s housekeeper too. Sadly, mom and dad lost their velcro golden boy Buddy last year and wanted to open their hearts to another golden. Oscar never knew that life could be so good!
