Parker is a one year old male golden who was picked up as a stray and was near death at a rural animal shelter. It was apparent that Parker had lived his life on a chain because the chain had cut into his neck and it was infected. A kind woman saw Parker at the shelter and couldn’t walk away and let him die. She took him home. But with 4 children, a husband, 3 small dogs and a horse farm, it was just too much. But she got Parker neutered and his neck wound cared for and gave him his shots. She also put him on good food to help fatten him up. Then she reached out to us to find him his home. We soon discovered he had heartworms so he has spent the last 60 days undergoing heartworm treatment. He is now cured. Parker is a young, energetic pup who needed some basic obedience training and during that training, he found his forever home. The trainer knew of a retired man looking for a companion and it turned out to be a perfect match. Parker will soon be traveling in an RV.
