Paterno, a big goofy 6 year old male purebred golden, came to us looking sorta like a linebacker. He weighed in at 93 pounds and needed exercise. That is why his owners asked us to find him a new home in the first place. With several small children at home and no fence, Mom had no time for Paterno. So we found him a family where he will get tons of attention and loads of exercise. Paterno now has a mom, a dad, a 10 year old boy, Chris, and a 7 year old girl, Samantha, of his own. He also shares his new house with 2 little cats, Gunner and Ethel, and a 10 year old golden retriever, Tess. Tess was rescued 2 years ago so she knows how it is to be the new dog in town and she’s already made Paterno feel at home. Paterno gets to play with the kids for hours and hours and can not get enough of those tennis balls. Dad is currently in the air force and is only home on weekends so he’s happy to know that Paterno is keeping good watch over the family. Paterno is really kept on his paws these days. He has finally found his forever home and is loving every minute of it.
