Petunia is one of 4 female breeder dogs brought over from Missouri. All four were pretty as flowers so we call them our “flower girls”. Petunia is a little shorter than Pansy and taller than Poppy and Sweetpea (see their stories for more information), weighing in at 69 pounds. She is the curlest and fluffiest of the four and looks much cuter than in this photo. Immediately, Petunia showed us that she wanted to be right in the middle of the action and now in her new home she will be! Her new family recently lost their AGA dog Sam, they knew that they needed more golden love to heal their human hearts! Petunia is just the girl to help. Mom stays at home, so Petunia will have constant companionship. She’ll also be quite busy helping mom raise 2 young girls. We also think that like all little girls do, she’ll have dad wrapped around her paw in no time. After a tough little start, she’ll be loved and cared for the rest of her life.
