Meet Petunia Pup. Born on 2/11, she is 11 weeks old. A breeder gave her to us because she her lower eye lashes curled inward and her eyes watered. Dogs with this condition often outgrow it and it looks like Petunia is one of them. Her lids are not curling out now that her eyes sockets are growing. She visited an opthamologist and after receiving a clean bill of health – it was time to find her a new home. So… we did! A terrific family drove up from Tampa and their daughter drove down from Tennessee to help them pick out their new dog. Also present was Maya, their one year old golden. She has to come along since it was going to be her sister! Petunia won them all over. She got thumbs up from mom, dad and her human sister and a paws up from Maya! Now she is finally home and she sure hit the jackpot. Dad recently retired so he will be home all day to train her. Maya will show her the spoils of family life. They’ll play together in their big fenced backyard and when they need a break from the Florida heat they will simply take a dip in the swimming pool. Life is going to be good – golden good!
