You know, it’s always a little embarrassing for a dog to admit he was a “stray.” It usually means no one came looking, no one noticed you were missing. That was me, just wandering the streets of Atlanta, hoping someone might care. One day, the kind folks at Fulton County Animal Services stopped and offered me a ride. I was tired, hungry, and so ready to be safe. I hopped right in. The nice people there called AGA to come meet me, and they said I was a total sweetheart. I even got to sit in a lap and munch on bacon during my evaluation (which I passed with flying colors). They saw something in me worth saving, even when they discovered I had heartworms. Thanks to my amazing sponsors, Scott, Michelle, Ellen, John & Bridget, I got the treatment I needed, and I am ready to start my next chapter!
I am a sweet boy about 3.5 years old and weighing around 55 pounds. I’m gentle, smart, and very loyal to my people, but I also have a few quirks I’d like to be honest about. I’m not really a “share my stuff” kind of guy, especially when it comes to food or toys. I’d be happiest as your one-and-only pup, and I think a home without small kids or cats would be best for me. I just like my space and my routine, you know? And, I’ve heard some dogs love playgroups and chaos, but I’m more of a backyard to myself kind of guy. A fenced yard would be ideal so I can stretch my legs and sniff the breeze in peace. I hope I find my person who is willing to give me the structure and space I need to feel secure. I know I’m not the easiest dog, but if you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion and are willing to put in the time to understand me, I’ll give you my whole heart. I’m just waiting for someone who sees past my past and believes in my future. I promise I’m worth it, Prada
