Princess, a wonderful 18 month old female golden, was turned into us, along with her brother Duke. Their owner was moving and told us “take them – I can’t”. Despite her name, Princess’s life was anything but regal. She and her brother lived outside during the day and in the garage at night. Duke was all Princess had to keep her company and show her love. We are so happy to report that Princess and Duke have been adopted by the same wonderful family and they will now be able to share a future together forever. Princess’s new family came to us after their 9 year old chocolate lab, Teddy, passed away from pancreatic cancer. Mom and dad tried everything they could but the cancer spread too fast. They had so much doggie love to give that they decided the only thing better than adopting a adopting a golden retriever is adopting two! Mom and dad were so happy to welcome two new dogs into their home and their hearts. They even did some extra special yardwork just to be sure Duke and Princess have plenty of room for wrestling around and chasing tennis balls. Princess will finally experience a life worthy of her royal name. Plus, she’ll get to share her forever with her one true prince, Duke!
