Meet Rafferty, a wonderful 3 year old female Great Pyreness who was facing death in 24 hours. We couldn’t let that happen. We take in Great Pyrenesses because there is no local rescue and many are being abandoned and shot by farmers in North GA who, because of the drought, no longer have their goat herds and other livestock that these dogs protected. Rafferty is small, weighing only about 65 pounds but needs to put on 10 pounds. It took a little while to find this sweet girl a home but we know her new home was worth the wait. They came from nearly 4 hours away to get this baby doll. Mom and dad also have a boxer mix named Chloe who is blind from genetic glaucoma. So we know mom and dad are dedicated to their pets and Rafferty will be the perfect addition to the family. With her sweet disposition she and Chloe will be inseperatable in no time. Although Rafferty is not a golden, her future is certain to be.
