I brought Reagan home from Adopt a Golden Atlanta in 2015. From the moment I became his guardian, he became my constant companion, a source of endless laughter, joy, and unconditional love. We shared countless adventures, and he was always right by my side. He was everything you’d expect from a Golden Retriever—gentle, sweet, and easygoing.
Reagan’s love wasn’t limited to me. He brought joy to so many, and the impact of his absence is still felt deeply by everyone who knew him. There are many special people who were touched by his life, and I know we all continue to carry his memory with us.
He left this world peacefully, with a happy tummy full of cheeseburgers. We laid next to each other with my arm draped around him and our heads nuzzled together until the very end. As a pet parent, there’s nothing more you could ask for in a final goodbye.
