STORY TO COME: Hello to everyone. I’m a 7 year old fellow and I was taken to a golden rescue in North Carolina because I’m scared of storms. Other dogs are that way too and it seems like you shouldn’t have to lose your home over that – goodness, things are bad enough being scared of thunder and lightning without being left with strangers. I’ve heard that there are things like medicine that can help dogs like me but I never had any of those kind of pills. Maybe it would help me too. I don’t know why some dogs are scared and some are not but a lot of the scared ones get that way from having to live outside alone. Can you imagine how terrible it would be to be out in a storm tying to find a place to hide and get away from the rain and the noise? Now I find out that I have heartworms. That means I never got the medicine I needed every month to keep them from getting in me. I wish I could tell everyone not to leave their dogs outside in bad weather and not to forget to give them the heartworm pill every month. The heartworm pills cost a lot less then the medicine it takes to get rid of them and bringing a dog inside where it feels safe is free! Then I had to ask the AGA angels to send me $500 for the medicine. That’s more money than I’ve ever seen but I promise my thanks will be worth a whole lot more because it will mean I won’t die and can find a new home and live happily ever after. My angel is Agnieszka Wesolowski – she helps a lot of us AGA dogs in honor of her golden, Saba who she loved very much. I’m also getting medicine to keep me calm and it is working. Oh and if I get scared I don’t hurt anything. I just go and hide. I’ll keep you up to date on my progress but I wouldn’t mind a bit it you’d ask about me before I’m ready to be adopted. I already know that I’m a good boy! And I like dogs and cats too. Your new friend, Reilly
