Rex, a 15 month old purebred golden boy, came into the program as a fun loving and energetic puppy. Still in his terrible teenage years, fearless Rex ate everything he could find. Before being adopted he had to have a disposible razor removed from his stomach. Rex needed a home with a fenced in yard and older kids to play with. We knew he would love some doggie friends too. So, first, Rex went to fostercare where his foster mom and dad worked on his manners. It wasn’t long that Rex sat his foster mom down and asked if he could live with them. Foster mom thought about it but a new german shepherd puppy was on the way and they didn’t know if they would have time since puppy training can be exhausting. Rex thought about that and decided on a plan. He would help raise the puppy! And so he did. He also took care of the cats. Mom and Dad knew they were goners and so did Rex when he promised he would still foster a needy golden in the future. Morale of story: if you know what you want, Rex can make it happen.
