Rexy is a 3.5 year old male who is 99% golden. It is strange but he has some black streaks in places in his hair but they are quite attractive. Besides that, this boy is all golden. He weighs 90 pounds – but could lose a few pounds. He was given up by his owners because they had to move to an apartment and they couldn’t take a dog of Rexy’s size. So we put him into one of our wonderful foster homes and they decided that he simply couldn’t leave. Now, Rexy is home. He’ll have four canine sibilings – a sweet 15 ½ year old female golden, an 11 year old lab and 2 little dogs that don’t weigh 35 pounds together. Rexy started to have mild seizures when he entered the program and his new kids believed that was a sign from their Dad, who died a couple of years ago from brain cancer. So they just couldn’t part with him. Rexy just settled in and made best friends with their 14 year old boy who was adopted from Russia. They love playing basketball together. And this summer Rexy will try the family’s swimming pool if his new lab brother will share.
