Riesling is a wonderful 7-8 year old male golden who has been used as a stud dog all his life. He had never known the love of a human being. He’d never been hugged, kissed or petted. Never had a bed or a toy or even chased a ball. When we meet dogs like Riesling we see how amazing Goldens really are! Over the past few months, and with lots of foster love, Riesling started to emerge from his shell. He is very calm, gentle, and affectionate. We know this is just the beginning of a great new life for Riesling. He has just been adopted by a wonderful family and now this golden guy has a mom and dad who love him and two boys in college who come home often for visits. Riesling even has a 10 year old golden sister Maggie and the two are already best friends. Maggie was devastated when her longtime companion, Puck, also a golden retriever, passed away in May. The house was not the same without two goldens running around, so mom and dad decided it was time to find Maggie a new brother. When they met Riesling at adoption day he stole their hearts. Riesling is doing great. He has a cool new name- Riley; and is adjusting to family life more and more each day. Another very happy forever for a very deserving dog!
