My name is Rose, and I’m a 1.5-year-old golden girl weighing 56 pounds. I’m so happy to be part of the AGA family!
My friend Dorothy and I were found as strays, sleeping in the street in Madison County. A kind person took us in while we waited to see if our family would come looking for us. Sadly, no one did, so our finder made the loving decision to surrender us both to AGA so we could find the forever families we deserve.
I’m a super sweet, velcro girl who loves being right by my people’s side. I’m submissive, very loving, and adore everyone I meet. I’m wonderful with kids and other dogs. I don’t need another dog in my forever home, but if I’m left alone for longer periods, I’d do best with a doggy friend.
I’m house-trained, have good house manners, and walk beautifully on leash without pulling. Cars can make me a little timid on walks, but otherwise I’m a great walking companion. I’m pretty chill and much more interested in my humans than toys or balls!
I’m still a little underweight, but I’m eating and drinking well and on my way to a healthier weight. A fenced yard would be wonderful but isn’t required as long as I can get some daily fun with my person.
After a winding road, I’m ready to leave my stray days behind and find my happily ever after. With love and a few rose-colored dreams, Rose
