Meet Rosie, a wonderful 18 month old female purebred golden retriever. This sweet girl was turned in to a local animal shelter by her family because they could not afford to keep her. The shelter was full and Rosie was in jeopardy so we went to pick her up immediately. She happily walked out of the shelter kennel, showing her puppy charm giving goodbye kisses and licks to everyone. Not long after we picked her up were those goodbye kisses exchanged for hello kisses – to her adoring new mom! Our Rosie girl is beginning her new life in the windy city! Yes, that’s right she was adopted all the way to Chicago! When mom read about her on our website, she immediately filled out an application exclaiming that Rosie was her girl. After meeting (soon exceeding) our expectations the deal was done. Mom flew done at once to pick up her girl. The best part is that although mom and Rosie had never officially met, it seemed their hearts already knew one another. Rosie went running up to her, licking her as if she new this was her new mom. She was crying to go with her and had eyes, licks and wags only for mom. Mom not only brought toys and treats, she even brought a dog restraint for a safe ride back to Chicago along with written recommendations from people during her application process. Rosie will now be an only girl. She will be walked 3 times a day, go to work every day with her new mom and have lots of doggy friends to play with at the dog park. She’s also sure to be a Cubs fan, since Wrigley Field is less than a mile down the road. Now she is bouncing around in her fenced yard full of snow and enjoying being mom’s spoiled rotten girl!
