Rusty, a 3 year old purebred golden boy, had a family who felt he was “too much trouble”. (This is the same family whose bratty kids threw lighted firecrackers at him when he was a puppy!) They were taking him to the pound when the neighbor said “no you aren’t!” Rusty lived with that kind neighbor for 3 months but they didn’t have enough space for him to run and play. So a family who had been looking for their first dog came to adoption day with their boys. Well, those boys weren’t leaving without Rusty! Today, Rusty has a Dad and stay at home Mom, 2 boys to play with and Pete the cat. Rusty is even eating steak. Life is good.
