Rusty is a big red male golden retriever. He weighs in at 112 pounds (OK, he could lose a maybe 10 pounds) and is estimated to be 7-8 years old. His owner was terminally ill and was taking Rusty to the vet to put him down. Some people convinced his owner that there were rescues who would find Rusty a loving home. These people took Rusty and unfortunately, one of their female dogs bit Rusty in the face. They called us. We thought Rusty may be dog shy after having been bit but he loves his foster golden sister and there are no issues. He is a great big wonderful dog who is absolutely no trouble. Rusty is such a sweetheart and a joy that his foster family decided they couldn’t give him up. They decided to adopt Rusty, committing to give him all the love and attention he could ever ask for, for the rest of his forever!
