Meet Rusty, a wonderful 5 to 6 month old male golden puppy. Unbelievably, we found Rusty sitting behind bars in a kill shelter in north Georgia with only hours to live. Everyone who meets this boy loves him. He is playful, housetrained, loves other dogs and is just a goofy puppy. We have discovered that Rusty lives to be in the water so his foster family wants to find him a home with a pool or access to the lake (assuming lakes will have water!). This is a photo of Rusty in his kiddie pool which happens to be empty. He will lay in it hoping for water. Clearly the pup has tons of personality and it took him no time to win over the hearts of his new forever family. Rusty has actually been adopted by one of our most dedicated volunteers. Mom is in charge of all our dog’s medical needs so needless to say, she comes into contact with a lot of goldens. But there was something special about Rusty and she had to have him forever. Rusty lucked out. He now has a 3 year old brother Landen, who is already his best pal, and a big yard to run and play in. He has a loving home to call his own, and a cool new name Hunter. Things couldn’t be better for this little guy who at one point only had days to live because now he has a golden forever to enjoy!
