Sadie, Sadie – what a sad story she was. She and her purebred puppies were in a shelter. Another rescue group ran and got her 5 puppies and left her there to be put down! As soon as we heard this terrible story we called the shelter only to learn her time had run out — but the guy with the drugs ran out and had to move Sadie to first thing next morning. Well, that’s all we had to hear. One of our volunteers dropped everything and went and got her. We found a smart, well trained girl eager to please. We also found her the perfect family. In fact, it happened at adoption day. A young couple came to Petsmart and started looking at all of our dogs. When the girl saw Sadie and when Sadie saw her, their eyes locked and then Sadie actually held out her paw to her. We have never seen anything like it. Sadie is so happy with her new people. She will be going to the park to play everyday now. It’s now Sadie Sadie, oh what a happy lady!
