This is Sammy “BAMA” (we have so many Sam’s we have added Bama to make him distinctive). Sammy Bama is a male golden who is about 7 or 8 years old. He originally came from New Orleans. His previous family moved to Alabama when Katrina destroyed everything they had. They loved him and wouldn’t leave him behind but they have continued to have financial problems and could no longer care for him so they asked us for help. He had severe heartworms but thanks to Henry Sr. and his permanent foster family he is now healthy. Also, thanks to his own foster family – now his forever family, his heart is now happy too! Sammy knew he was home when he got there – it just took his family a little longer to figure it out!
