Hi there, I’m Scarlet, sweet as can be, and yes, just one “t” but twice the heart. My story didn’t start the way most fairy tales do. I was found wandering as a stray south of Atlanta, and I had a painful, deep wound around my neck from an embedded collar. It hurt a lot, but what hurt more was being alone. Thankfully, some amazing folks saw past my injuries and saw me. AGA stepped in right away and whisked me off to safety. I got the medical care I desperately needed and am now healing (in more ways than one) in a cozy foster home.
I may only be about a year old, but I’ve already learned how good life can be with love, kindness, and a soft place to rest. My foster says I’m going to make someone an amazing companion. I rest calmly in my crate, I’m learning how to walk nicely on a leash, and I’ve been working on using my manners instead of my excitement, though I still think belly rubs should be your top priority.
I’m also figuring out that calm and gentle gets me all the snuggles I could ever ask for (and believe me, I’m a snuggle expert). I used to get a little too excited for attention, but I’m learning fast what good behavior looks like and how rewarding it is! I’m about 55 pounds of fluff, love, and resilience. I’ve been through some tough times, but my heart is golden, and I’m ready to find a family who will never let me go. Could that be you? Love, Scarlet
