This is Scout, a 5 year old male golden whose owner lost her house and left him behind – tied to a tree with a bowl of water. Thank goodness the neighbors heard Scout crying when he wrapped himself around the tree and only had about 6″ of rope left. It had been 3 days since his owner moved! The neighbors knew Scout was a great dog who deserved a wonderful home so we were asked to help out. Now, Scout has the wonderful home he so deserves. He has kids to play with and parents who will never tie him to a tree. He’ll have lots of company as one parent works part time from home and the housekeeper will often be around to keep him company. Now, he’ll never live outside again and the only thing he will be chained to is his forever family’s heart.
