Meet Scout, a fabulous 6 year old male purebred golden retriever. His original owners moved and couldn’t take him. They adopted him at puppyhood, loved him greatly and were heartbroken to give him up. Then we found him a new dad, but then dad got a new job and had to travel 3-4 days a week which wasn’t right for Scout so we needed to find him another new home. Well, we’ve heard that the third time is a charm and we had hoped it was going to be. Scout went to live on an 85 acre horse farm with a few other dogs and cats. Scout wouldn’t leave the cat alone and didn’t like being left alone for 8 hours a day. We think Scout got used to getting attention from his foster family and he didn’t like being left all day even though he was with other dogs. Scout adores people. So, Scout was looking for home #4 and this one was perfect. It was a home that he was already familiar with, in fact a place that he already called home. Mom and dad just needed a little time to realize it too. Scout was adopted by his foster family. When he came back this last time they decided that they couldn’t part with him again. Now our misunderstood golden boy who has just had a hard time settling into a new home, has finally found his new family. Scout can be a bit pushy but mom and dad were used it. You see, after they looked at Scout’s AKC paperwork, they found out he was related to their pushy golden…. So pushiness runs in the family. Scout now has several golden siblings and a feline friend to be BFF’s. He has a pool to dip his paws in and best of all, he has love and consistency back in his life.
