This is Shadow, an 11.5 year old male golden who only lived with one family his entire life. Unfortunately, his family fell on hard times and could no longer take care of his medical needs and most recently couldn’t afford to feed him. Of course we brought him into our program and once our vet examined him, it was determined that he was in severe pain, couldn’t walk, had internal bleeding. We had to help him cross the bridge with dignity. We wished we had a better photo of him but we don’t. However, he deserves to be remembered because he was a loyal companion all his life. He is now young again and running through fields chasing butterflies and spending his days in lush green meadows soaking up the sunshine.
