Well if ever a dog was happy to be found and taken in by AGA, that’s me! I was SO lost and gettting into all kinds of problems with my ears and fleas and and not being able to find enough food and getting weaker. Whew- a dog just can’t take care of things like this! The doctor thinks I am, m-m-m-m-m about 10 years old. When I first came in he said that I had those terrible heartworms but some special medicine made them go away. I also had a couple “angels” to pay for my treatment – thanks Maggie and Winston. They are my pals forever – just like my once foster family. They are most certainly my pals forever for a very good reason! I went for a car ride the other day and I thought I was going to a new place but found out I was only going out for an adventure. Yep, that’s right – my foster family is now my real family and they were only taking me to a place to see a really nice lady who wants to help me get better. She used something called a laser on me (boy, that felt good), then I got treats, then dad walked me around while mom and the lady vet worked on one of my new brothers and sisters, then we all came back HOME! And I felt so good . . . I did a little dance! My body felt good and my heart felt (and feels) especially good! Mom tells me I will back for more adventures where the nice lady vet is going to do some x-rays on me so she can target what will make me feel the best with the laser . . . and I am going to get some more treats. Yippee! And my “new” house is the best – we have two dog doors so I can come and go when I want to and mom and dad have built this neat fountain outside that we can all drink out of when we are outside. I also have multiple dog beds to choose from and my favorite of all – a dog feeding station that puts out food and treats. I love to eat! I also do a little dance when we come in and race towards the ramp that I can use since sometimes the stairs are a little much. I couldn’t have made it here without all of you, so THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. I know my new mom and dad love me and will take care of me and told me that AGA will always be there for me. From here, the world really is beautiful!
