My name is Shelby Sr, and I’m a 9-year-old girl, 56-pound golden mix — although if you ask me, I certainly don’t act my age! My foster mom says I have plenty of playfulness left in me!
I first came to AGA after losing my beloved mom, who had been by my side for nine wonderful years. I found a new home, but sometimes life doesn’t go exactly as planned, and now I’m back with AGA looking for my perfect match. I know my forever family is still out there!
I’m completely house-trained, have wonderful manners, and don’t need a crate. I walk beautifully on leash and LOVE going for walks, so I’d be happy to join you for daily strolls and adventures. I also ride beautifully in the car and especially enjoy sticking my head out the window to feel the breeze!
I’m a sweet, gentle girl who loves to cuddle and be close to my people. I’m great with children and would happily join you on the furniture when invited… because really, my favorite place to be is right by your side!
I’m looking for a patient family where someone is home more often than not. I can get a little worried when left alone, especially while I’m settling into a new home, so what I really need is someone who understands that I just need a little time to feel safe.
I would do best in a single-family home with a fenced yard (no condos, apartments, or townhomes, please!). I’d also love to have another friendly dog in my forever home – as having another dog around helps me feel more comfortable and confident.
