Skylor is a female golden who came to us from Alabama. We think she is about 2 or 3 years old. A small rescue picked her up from a shelter there and drove her over to us. Her story is a sad one. Seems that her owners dropped her at the front door of the shelter after hours. When the shelter opened the next day, they found her in her crate with a note pinned to the crate. The note said she was good with children and was housetrained and knew her basic commands and a box of heartworm preventative was there. Nothing else. Since then, we have found out she is good with other dogs and cats. She is in fostercare and is being a very good girl. She is a little wary of strangers but once she gets to know you she has a temperament of a golden through and through. If you look closely you will see she has some black hair running through her tail. We don’t know where that came from because aside from that, she is a perfect speciman of a purebred golden. Skylor just adopted a new family! Mom and Dad are great. They are a young active couple, very familiar with goldens. Earlier this year they lost their beloved Dixie, a 14 year old Golden Retriever. We are sure Dixie helped Skylor find her way into mom and dad’s heart. So no more doorsteps for this sweet girl – she’s home!
