Sophie

My name is Sophie, and I’m a 2-year-old, 71-pound Golden-Lab mix with the sweetest eyes and a heart that just needs a little time to feel safe.

I didn’t have a secure fence at home, so I found myself on a few too many adventures of my own. Eventually, I ended up at the shelter, and my family decided to surrender me. Now, I’m getting a fresh start with AGA.

Right now, new places and unfamiliar situations can feel pretty overwhelming. I’m a shy girl, but underneath is a very sweet pup who wants to feel secure and loved.

I get along well with other dogs and am very sweet with people. My eyes have a way of melting hearts, and as I am settling into my foster home, everyone will learn more about the wonderful girl I am.

I’m looking for a patient, understanding family who will let me build confidence at my own pace. A securely fenced yard would be wonderful. As of right now, I would probably do best with no small kids due to my shy nature.

I may need a little extra time to come out of my shell, but I have so much potential to blossom with the right people by my side.

I’m ready to discover that home can be a safe, happy place — and that I’ll never have to face the world alone again. With hopeful eyes and gentle tail wags, Sophie
