This is our sweet lover-girl, Sophie. She was turned in to a County Animal Control by an elderly woman who recently lost her husband and couldn’t care for Sophie any longer. She is only 3 years old but sadly weighed a whopping 119.7 pounds. Well, now at 103 pounds (and still losing) Sophie has been adopted. Her new family loves to walk and that’s great for Sophie because now she’ll be able to stay on the exercise regimine. They are dedicated to helping Sophie become the healthy golden she should be. When they met her at Adoption Day they knew she was the one they had been looking for and listed her as the only one they wanted. Alas, there was a family ahead of them who wanted Sophie themselves. Their 10-year old son was very disappointed because he really connected with Sophie. Well, things always work out for the best, and Sophie ended up right where she should be – with her new 10 year old brother. Sophie now has a gregarious golden-doodle brother, Bailey, to keep her busy. She also has dedicated parents and two human brothers who were looking for a velcro golden who they could pet and stroke and love. This year everyone got their wish!
